About Tony Tymvios
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My wife and I have been married for 4 years this May. God has blessed us with three beautiful children (2 girls and 1 boy). My oldest being 3 and a half and my youngest 3 weeks old.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
Prior to the family business, I spent the first 12 years of my career working as a CPA at one of the big 4 accounting firms. My primary focus at the firm was on the tax side working with asset management clients but I also interviewed new and experienced hires for the firm as well as led the training programs there. I made my way back home to Holbrook after the Pandemic which was one of the best decisions of my life. For any milestone in life, we tend to meet around food and surround ourselves with those we love most. Whether it is to celebrate a birthday, graduation or even for comfort during a hardship; we all tend to do this around food. When a family picks to come to our restaurant to celebrate or for comfort it is a true honor and privilege for me. Every guest at the Diner is part of our extended family which makes being here is so special.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Enjoy everyday as it is a gift; and don’t sweat the small stuff!
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Hopefully still serving this beautiful community.
Tony Tymvios & Our Community
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Being a little biased I would have to say the Holbrook Diner; but I also love pizza and one of my favorite places to grab a slice is Joe’s.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
My family and I moved to Holbrook in 1996; there was a 12 year period where I was living in the city and working in accountant and couldn’t be happier to have moved back 3 years ago.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
This is a tough question! I meet so many interesting people at the Diner that it is hard to pick just one. From World War II Veterans to business owners, or even members of our government, federal through the local level you never know who you may meet here.
Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
Maybar Deli brings back some great memories of my friends and I riding our bikes there or our parents bringing us to get lunch to bring to the beach.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
My favorite thing about our community is the people. As things change across the world, the people here have not. Whether it is to hold the door open or to take the time to see how someone’s day is going the people here genuinely care. There isn’t a better place I would pick to raise my children and I am truly grateful to be here.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
This is a tough question; I will have to circle back on this one!
For Fun
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I don’t trust dolphins lol.
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
Spending the day with my family.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My wife and my children inspire me everyday to be a better, person, father, husband and leader at the diner.
Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
Home is where your heart is.
