A graduate of Sachem High School’s class of 1979, he has remained deeply committed to his hometown, continually giving back through sponsorships of youth programs, community organizations, and local places of worship.
For decades, Richie has owned and operated MTA Automotive Service on Union Avenue in Holbrook, where he has earned a reputation for honesty, quality service, and customer care. His business has become a trusted cornerstone of the community, serving generations of families with reliable automotive expertise.
Beyond his professional success, Richie has always prioritized giving back. He has served on various committees and as a respected member of the Sachem Board of Education, working tirelessly to improve educational opportunities for local students. His leadership and advocacy have left a lasting impact on the school district and community at large.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My family is my Life my wife Lisa, Dominick, Anthony and daughter Cassidy
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I have pretty much worked in Holbrook at our family auto repair Shop since I was 13 years old, my dad Dick started working in Holbrook in 1965 and I am currently the Owner, operator of Holbrook MTA auto service operating at 397 Union Ave since 1985. I still love taking care of my customers auto service needs and enjoy my relationships with my customers and their families

I still hope to be active in business and community I hope to spend more time with family as it is growing

It is hard to just list one as there are many interesting people in Holbrook and I have had the pleasure of interacting with most of them

Maybar Deli, Joes Pizza, 10th inning Pub, original Holbrook Bagels Irish Times Pub and The Holbrook Diner
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
Golfing at Holbrook Country Club It’s a Holbrook Thing
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
I would like to have lunch with the surviving family members of my dad’s closet friends while I was growing up in Holbrook
